the ride

I'm trying to ride at least once a month all year.I took my Jan. ride today it was 26 degrees and windy,but the roads were clear and it felt good to be riding.I hope Feb gives me as a good conditions.

I am jealous!!!!!!!!!! The lowest temps I have ridden in was 32*, I rode two hours one way on the interstate and two hours back. Like you it was cold, but it was awesome top be out on the road again! Good luck and keep ridin'!!!!!

sweeeet! Welcome to the club : ) In the past 32 months, since I began riding, I have missed only one month, two January's ago. The coldest temp I rode in was 16 degrees--brrr. In February 09, I spent 6 hours chiseling ice in my driveway, and could only ride about 6 miles---and yes, it was worth it. I bought heated gear and a full-face helmet last year--this really extends the riding season. Last winter, after my February ride, I noticed some rust around my kickstand. The road salt is your bike's worse enemy, after black ice of course, so make sure you rinse it off good. Have fun and be safe!
