The following are notes submitted by Secretary of Somerset County- Rose Flanagin.

OPEN FORUM- A dog was brought onto the grounds, it was voted in favor to let it stay. Jen Fotter addressed the meeting and thanked Somerset County for respecting her property and that the property is there for the Sept. 19 run and BBQ.
An appreciation certificate was presented with a card and a Walmart gift card to Jen Fotter from Somerset County for our appreciation of her allowing us the use of her property for our barbeques and dances.

Secretaries report accepted as read.

Treasures report was read by Stan. Beginning balance is $1594.07. Ending balance is $1444.83 as of July 4th. This amount does not reflect what was made at the Athens Field Days.

A purchase of a grill was discussed and voted in favor to purchase one at Walmart for $88.00-$125. The canopy and poles were discussed and voted in favor to replace the poles for the amount of $125.00. A megaphone was discussed it was said they are at radio shack for $80.00. It was decided that someone can find some cheaper online. We don't need this till next year.

Next meeting will be Elections. Betsy was nominated for Officer of the Year and Sunshine for Member of the year.

Bike Night was talked about. 3 are to judge the Bike Contest, and 2 are to judge the BBQ Contest. Rose and Arlene will judge the food.

The Ride to Benefit Biker Down raised $150.00. The ride was short and rainy and all the people who won the plaques were ones who didn't come to the BBQ.

The September run will be a long ride we will start at Rivers Edge in Madison and end with a BBQ at Jens. Rose and Jen will handle the BBQ part of this. A motion was made to have the proceeds go to the State, this decision was held over to next meeting August 1st.

A motion was made to have rides after each meeting. It was voted and passed that we will meet at Sunshine's at Noon before each meeting and ride, come back, and have the meeting at 4:00pm. John Clark handed out invitations to his informal wedding on August 22nd everyone is welcome to attend.

WE ALL NEED TO REPRESENT OUR COUNTY WHEN WE HAVE OUR VEST ON AND WHEN WE ARE WORKING as a UBM OFFICER or MEMBER WE NEED TO BE RESPECTFUL and READY TO ACT AT A MOMENTS NOTICE.

Sonny Bridges talked about having a fundraiser to help the State.

Eric Fuller also spoke on behalf of the State needing money and needing a membership drive.

There was some discussion about rushing at the last minute to get a band for the Field Days. Motion to adjourn.

The 50/50 raffle was spent on food for a Barbeque for the UBM officers and members.
