Gail....There is an event coming up on November 12 that we are participating in.  Basically we meet at the Bells IGA in Orono, pick up a turkey and ride down Stillwater Ave and drop them off at Lamb's Book and Bible.  More info can be found here.  I will post the event when we determine a time to meet at Bells IGA.

Looks like the last time this page was updated was in August.  Anyone from this group still doing any riding?  Any fall/winter events happening?

MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES "Every where you go, there you are." " Do what you can with what you've got." Dan and I recently attended the Mattawamkeag Riders 3 Day Bash. We have been about 5 times and have seen and continued to build relationships w/ the members throughout the years. We were talking to someone from the Legion Riders and they are having a run to raise money for the Home in the Woods in Lee on August 28th. We offered to have a prayer for safety before the ride and they gratefully accepted. The last time we had prayed for them, they were all safe, but 2 bikers who jumped in to the end of the ride crashed. We have been told since last summer by many of their members, "It was too bad those people weren't there for the prayer. They would have been safe." Praise God for that! I am asking for your support. If you can attend, we are starting to gather at the American Legion on Central St. in Millinocket at 9:30. I told them I would ask some christian ladies to bake muffins, cookies, etc for them to serve w/ the coffee at registration. Bring some baked goods, if you can. Maybe ask some other ladies from your church. If you can't bake or participate, we ask for your prayers! Please, hold us up as we share the love of Christ w/ these men and women. In Christ's love and service, Lynn Bernard Maine Area Rep

Yes, it was a great meeting and was even greater to see everyone. Praise for the new people wanting to start a new chapter; will definitely keep them in prayer for great success.

I look forward to seeing you all at the Timberhouse in Lincoln tonight, 8-12-11, at 6pm.  If anyone is interested in learning more about our group, please feel free to attend.  We will have some new people from Houlton tonight, so this should be extra special...  In Christ's love and service, Lynn

Finally , spring has sprung here in north central Maine. Had a great turnout for the annual bike blessing in Houlton May 28th in spite of the rainy and cold conditions. Pastor Steve up there is a gracious host. Thank you Riders for Christ for helping him out. ON ANOTHER note , Lynn and I are busy getting ready for Laconia. By the way, the church at Weirs will only be opened until 10 pm this year , I think it's because of lack of volunteers. I would urge anyone with some earned vacation time to come down and stay for the week and help out.
