This section is set up for the purpose of getting information pertaining to the motorcyclist’s rights issues, here in the state of Maine to a larger segment of the riding community. I will try my best to keep anyone interested in these issues informed and give them information that can be used to participate in the fight to protect our rights as citizens of Maine and the United States of America.

In the beginning the information may seem to be a repeat from posts on different sites or even other locations on MBN, but I feel this information needs to be in one place and easily accessible, so I have created this page. Thank you for showing an interest in the rights of all motorcyclists here in Maine and the nation. I hope the information provided here will help keep you informed and interested in defending your rights.

This will work fine Paul. But for even better results you can just post things as a new discussion in the general section, and I can move it if needed. Thanks for sharing this.

Letter from a Police Officer relevant to loud motorcycles, their illegality and what the States must do to control the out-of-control situation.  Please see attachment.  Long, but worth reading.

Ricky, You need to be aware that Maine Biker Network is not a Motorcycle Rights, only, website. It is just a part of what we do here. You are more than welcome to share your knowledge and opinions. However posting the same information in different sections of this website is SPAM.

It is just as intrusive as the loud motorcycles you are against. And it will not be tolerated here.

Also Jeff, you state that "Maine Biker Network is not a Motorcycle Rights, only, website."  Yes, but the topic I have posted on several pages, including several dedicated to "biker rights," is relevant to the topic being discussed or dedicated to that particular forum.  Anyway, I'm truly only interested in the excessive noise, illegal exhaust issue and will make a valid attempt to confine my posts to topics related to that subject.  Also, I disagree that my multiple post are just as intrusive as the loud bikes I am against...your readers have the "choice" to read the multiple post should they "choose" to do so.  The citizen on the street, in his/her place of employment, worship, entertainment is NOT afforded that luxury when some of the "loud" bikers on this forum operate their illegally loud motorcycles on our public roadways.  They do not have the "choice" to tune you guys out...this irresponsible behavior is nothing less than an unwanted assault. Thank you, Rick

Ricky, how do you know, down there in Texas, that the forum members on this site operate illegally?

Man I get tired of you long distance telegraph operators having everything figured out here in Maine from afar. I would not conjecture about how things are in Texas sitting here in Maine. Act locally Ricky, we do here.

Hello Artlee, I've traveled a good portion of this Country on two wheels and I know that you loud biker thugs run pretty consistent in your style and irresponsible behavior.  I'm sure Maine "loud" bikers are no different and as they are in the rest of the United States, you too are a despised entity held in vehement contempt by a sizable portion of the general public repeatedly subjected to your selfish, irrational and illegal behavior i.e. the operation of an illegally equipped, illegally loud motorcycle on our public roadways.

Rick

Hello Rickey.

Loud biker thug? Despised? Really sir, I find your words inaccurate and insulting.

I don't know you, so I wouldn't insult you out of hand. Why are you doing this to me and the other members of this site?

Hi Artlee, just calling it as I see it. No apologies here...ya know Artlee, some men have various fantasies but I've included a URL to a video of MY fantasy...a dream come true...how I would also like to take a bat to those Vance and Hines.

Well Rickey, I'm not watching your video because I am not interested in other people's fantasies. But your threats of physical violence are unsettling. I think if you let anger consume you that it is unhealthy.
