" Maine Bikers Helping Maine Bikers "
Gents: I live in Lincolnville, in Waldo county. I've been looking around for a club or group to join so I'd have someone to ride with. Any ideas. I haven't had much success.

What kind of "club" are you talking about?
Because most exsisting MC clubs frown on other biker clubs getting started, unless of course there's good reason.
I'd say yer better off just riding by yer lonesome. Or, ...c'mon and ride with me. I'm ALWAYS looking for riding buds. You know what they say, ...the more the merry-er.
Besides, ...clubs have too many rules ya gotta adhere to.
Permalink Reply by Butch Knowles on February 21, 2012 at 8:26pm I don't belong to any, but have looked into some that have information posted here on this sight. I "may" end up joining a Masonic riders group, but I'm still pretty indecisive about it.
Like Chopper says, they've all got rules...including dues, mandatory number of meetings or rides, some don't like the OL coming along on a ride...yadda yadda yadda.
I just started work in the Rockland area last summer and now that I've got my feet under me, would love to get to know some more guys on the midcoast to ride in the evenings with. Although I live several hours north of Rockland, I live in Warren M-F every week.
I like coffee, love cold beer, and yakking about motorcycles.
So, "Bluesbassman", ...you play bass for a blues band? ...I'm just guessing here.
If you are looking for rides, why not join in the Ridin Steel Rides, "Ridin for A Cause". Some weekends there are charity rides on both days.

Permalink Reply by The Duc on February 26, 2012 at 1:20pm This "Baldguy" rides all the time but not too many can keep up with me though I did sell the Hayabusa so I'll be a tad slower this year. I do have rules, single file ridng only, you must have better than average riding skills and love twisty roads. I'm not crazy I save the triple digits for the track...most of the time.
I'm near Rockland most of the summer.
